Day 13, it's a marvelous night for a moon

(post and photos by Philip)

Today we didn't have any group activities, so instead we had a party on the Berger farm.  And enjoyed the brilliant night sky.

We just hung around the farm and relaxed.  We were able to meet many of the Germans' friends.  We also had the chance to look around the farm, we climbed hay bales and took in the view while we relaxed.  Tonight was really a night for astronomy, there was a blood moon, and Mars was visible, not to mention the lunar eclipse.

There were also several shooting stars, or Sternschnuppe, as they are called in German.  It was really nice to be able to enjoy this sight here, since we all know there are no stars in Norfolk.  I'm really glad we had a day where we could just kick back and chillax.
